This 9-light Chandelier looks great in my dinning room. The fixture itself comes pre-assembled and you need only to open/fan out the arms/stems to prepare it for hanging. Connect the wiring as per the included directions; noting that the ribbed black wire is for neutral/white. Note that your home wiring must have a conductor rating of 75 degree C. If your home was built prior to the mid-1980s, you should check with an electrician as your wiring might be rated for only up to 60 degree C. The glass shades are made of quality glass with a water wave appearance. The diameter of the shades is 5.9 inches. The fixture itself has a rubbed bronze look. The shades are secured to the sockets using socket rings, with a matching bronze appearance. The lightbulbs are not included. The fixture can be used with a dimmer and dimmable bulbs if desired. With 9 bulbs, the chandelier can get pretty bright. For Halloween, we installed 9 flame bulbs (also available from Home Depot) and the results are amazing; the flames are amplified nicely by the wavy glass. My wife and I love our new Chandelier!
